Patrick Stapleton

Patrick and I are no longer on speaking terms. It is, however, a one-sided sulk, as I would love to hear from him. Alas, his over-confident verbal abuse reduced to a tardy trickle of a few words in a single sentence, and then PLONK!! silence befell us.
I must say, over the last few months I actually started liking the man. Besides this money thing, I think he is in all likelihood a friendly, kind man and congenial man. This I say judging by the impression he makes by his photographs and reading between the lines of his writings. Somewhere, I had hoped that the whole issue would turn out in such a way, that I would be able to meet Patrick some day, and have a friendly chat with him over a cup of coffee somewhere. Any way, what we can't do now, we'll do later, hey Patrick. We'll sit on our little cloud looking down on the planet earth, and have a good laugh about our earthly adventure; then we'll plan what outrageous things we can do during our next existence, perhaps we can start planning the planet of our choice now already.

But back to our current farce.

Besides my money, there are others things that Patrick and I also have in common, and that is travelling the world. Coincidentally, we also have a shared predilection for big Islands such as Australia. Many years ago, one could go there for free and all you needed was to have criminal
tendencies - that is no longer the case. Unlike South Africa, the land of the Kiwis does not tolerate criminals, and that is why so many of our compatriots now live there - this is an important fact to keep in mind if one has the idea to spread one's nefarious ideas elsewhere. If I had a choice, I would move to Australia, where honesty and equity still seem to be the order of they day, and where the dream world of the aborigines is regarded as more real than the reality of the living.
On the other hand the big Karmic eye in the sky, is everywhere, and will probably see one also on that remote island - perhaps we'll meet there?.

Perhaps the Australian Embassy should be sent a link to this Blog and the Fin24 articles. They may not be that excited to welcome a new resident when they are aware of what he is leaving behind.
