Stirrings in the world of finance

After some major silence, a few snippets of information need to be shared. No, the liquidators have not moved to an alternative universe they are merely hiding behind a distant red giant. Slowly I'm seeing my own prophetic vision manifest into solid  molecules of structure: the liquidators are like the seaweed you encounter on a Sunday morning stroll on the beach. You know it has an ecological purpose, and that it has emerged, rootlessly, from the deep depths. But now that it has found a place in your reality on the hot sands before you, you cannot for the life of you imagine, what its purpose in creation is. It is a browning, dark green in colour, and, yep, it stinks to high heaven (interesting expression that: something stinking to high heaven). Soon, - having occupied a small momentary place in our reality, it will have dissolved itself and be no more.

The Pair
However, that is not true of the "pair"" Patrick Stapleton and Don Hutchinson. These two seem to have elected to be joined at the hip, as will become clear soon.

Apparently the high life is still very strong with The Pair, and Patrick has been observed gallivanting all over the place in his high priced 4 x 4. Yes, folks he is putting our money to good use. At least we cannot fault him on that.

Remember, a while ago I reported on the probability that The Pair were planning their next operation of extortion. I suspected that its name would have something to do with dynamic. Well, one of our sleuths have encountered the following web site: http://dynamicmc.co.za/. Of course you are quite correct, the site is appallingly designed and incomplete, but baby-steps, yes baby-steps. When you have a look-see at the site's "Contact us" page you will note the addresses being right in the correct vicinity of The Pair's hunting ground.

Most beauteous of the site is the slogan at the top:
Risk analysis - Why run your company without the necessary knowledge of the risks attached to various decisions. DMC - let us show you the power behind knowledge.
The key word here is "risk analysis", and we are well versed in that aspect of finance aren't we, fellas? Yet, aren't we being ever so sneaky? Just like our other professional gobbler of other's money, Carole Gradiner, no names are attached to the new venture. Never mind, folks, we, the old Edwafin stalwarts will continue spreading the word for you - won't we now? We also have a very keen sense of smell.

To me it is just soooo fascinating that we have the archetype that only knows how to work, deal, take, and generally manipulate other people's money. Let's face it with their track record, no respectable company would employ them to do an honest days professional, quality work. What else can they do but operate sleaze-like through the reality of other souls. At least they get to call themselves "professional."

The Sherrif, yes the Sherrif

Remember Mr Sherrif of the NPA. Well he was going to visit some of us, for a chat. That was some months ago. Well, I can whisper in your ear that he has been to visit some investors, and that he is probably coming to Gauting this month. The wisdom of visiting Gauteng I would not like to comment upon. However, I am glad to have been proven wrong in my assumption that Mr Sherrif was merely a figment of my imagination. Yep, he really exists, according to reports. His appearance is nevertheless mostly fleeting, and one recovers from the shock very rapidly. We'll see.

Well, that is all for now, and I urge all of you to keep your eyes peeled for the appearances of The Pair as well as the other "innocents" of our production. Let us at least prevent others from falling into the same trap as we now are trying to extricate ourselves.

We'll speak soon again.

Tweet-Tweet

Spring is in the air and the birds are chirping again, the dogs are smiling and wify is wagging her tail. Oops! I have that the wrong way round - I should say: the dogs are smiling and wagging their tails, and wife, well ... she is doing things ...

Of course the birds are singing in many ways as well - if you comprehend my thinly disguised implications. But first, let me announce: anonymous is back, and you may all write in under that non-de-plume. In a moment the reason will become clear to you. So for those with a romantic predilection for my butt, lustful longings for farm animals and yearnings for little children - we shall tolerate you but not publish you. So twirp away.

Although it is not quite Spring yet, the Universe has whispered in my ear that it soon will be, since we have put a structure in place that says on 1 September it will be Spring (here, elsewhere, such as in Europe, it will be Autumn - go figure. Humans are truly schitzo). Of course, we humanoids tend to think that the Universe takes notice of us, and it does but sometimes it preempt our wishes and manifests Spring a few weeks earlier. Yes, I know that it is indeed infuriating that the Universe sometimes acts according to its own whims, and acts out of turn but so do my in-laws and some things can just not be avoided.

Of course, with Spring comes new life, and it would be strange that the famous five of past-Edwafin would not breath in some of the new fresh air. That set my mind working again for a change.

We all are aware of the quick recovery that was made by Carole Gardiner. She dumped all those who invested through her in Edwafin and started a new organization called Lifestyle Bounceback. No doubt, many of her old Cape Town friends, once they get a moment between staring at their flat topped mountain, you know, the ones she has such a good relationship with, and who love her so much that they supported her whole heartily on this blog, that those good people have stood in line to pay her the little bit of money they had left so that she can help them get their life style back. I have it on some authority that she is in business with a similarly upstanding gentleman, who's original idea it was to create Edwabond in the first place, and who other investors are looking longingly at to invoke revenge of their own kind.

It never ceases to amaze me that the Universe has though of an archetype, whose sole role in society it is, to lift the possessions of other people. Carole, for instance, doesn't do knitting to make a living, nor does she bake cakes of the edible kind. No, she sweetly takes your money and makes you promises. Here is the name again: Carole Gardiner at LIFESTYLE BOUNCEBACK. It is interesting that when does a Google with Lifestyle Bounceback, you get, amongst a number of bouncing Americans, a link to the site called http://www.oceanfinance.co.za/LifestyleBounceBack.aspx. Most notable is that there are no names of individuals who make up the company, but that it is situated in Tygervalley. Is the Universe playing tricks again?

Of course little Carole worked her unique ability under the auspices of two other, similar, archetypes: Patrick Stapleton and Don Hutchinson:
and These blood-brothers have no seeming intention of getting you your lifestyle back, and one wonders how they will apply their finesse in future. Let us take a bet: Patrick will deal with a motorcar of some kind (above or below ground), yes a bird does not easily change its colours and one dynamically gets stuck to past issues so that predictability becomes a main feature of one's own Universe. Of course, one needs funds, money, cash to do such things but you never, never, never, use your own for then you cannot squander it freely. No one uses money extracted from others, while yours is safely hidden somewhere. In comes the slurker, Don. Now, please keep in mind I am just playing out an imaginary scenario. Again:

In comes Don and says to Patrick: "You know old Pat, that nice trick of yours to extract money from the good folk out there, and then make it disappear? "
Patrick: "Well ... I vaguely remember something like that. Do you mean to tell me that there are still folks out there who have money that we could get?"
Don: "Of course, there are, all those old pensioners, single moms and other silly entities with extra cash, just imagine!"
Patrick: "I am but Wow! that gives me an idea. Let us build another car, and get them to pay for it. We can have rich lunches every day, drive luxury cars, fool around a bit - you know, wink-wink. Yes. let's do that. What do you suggest."
Don: "I will start a company to get the cars investors - those silly old fools - and you get stuck on fabricating the fabrication of the cars. No, it does not matter if it ever gets finished, that is just for
show."

Patrick: "What a major plan! Once we have all their money we get declared incompetent - oops insolvent I mean, and then we hand then over to Carole for further intensive care. Majorly, indeed a masterful plan."
Don: "Sure, and we have all these good buddies whom we can depend upon to support us: SAVCA, NCC, DTI, FSB, and I will think of a few more."
Patrick: "Good, good, good (spittle dribbling down his left jowl). Now, what shall we call ourselves? Any ideas?"
Don:"Perhaps we should start separate companies, so that when one collapses, we still have the other. Let's think carefully about the names and about the colours we wish to represent ourselves
in. Sheep's cloths-colour wouldn't you say?"

Patrick: "Well, ity worked the first time round ... blah ...blah .. blahbiddyblah...."

Stay tuned for our next intriguing episode of The Repeat Of The Evil Conjecture or The Universe has a huge eye in the sky

And you thought I departed with my Harley

Since the publication of Patrick Stapleton's response to Carole Gardiner's interview, there have been a number of very irate individuals. One of these people is Debbie Chaplin, a previous employee at Edwafin. She has sent me various documents but has previously requested that I do not publish them. Today she gave Marc Ashton and me permission to publish them.

Beware, she is a mean letter writer, do not cross.

First the permission:
20090617 Debbie Chaplin Email Permission Then the various documents that she submitted. I won't comment but will allow you to read for yourselves:

Cabbage theft and retracting snails

A while ago, I told you about my little vegetable patch where one of the varieties of vegetable that we especially grow for the worms, beetles and snails is cabbage - this time around specifically Chinese Cabbage. What does that have to do with Edwafin, you may well ask. Patience is required as we will come to the link soon enough. Of course there is the obvious connection: empty, windy air bags, but we won't sink that low, and it is not much fun either.
I also told you, at the time, that my little doggies have become vegetable aficionados. They have certain preference; all kinds of cabbage they like, including broccoli, and cauliflower, but the seem to especially like Chinese cabbage - you know, when you go Chinesing, those crispy white bits in your vegetables: they are Chinese cabbage. This, until relatively recently in the history of our universe was totally not there at all. It only manifested itself in my awareness, when I saw the packet of seeds on the shelf, and I decided, well let's give the Chinese a chance to be eaten by worms, beetles and snails.
I never realized, that our dogs, Pedro and Gigi, were Kung Fu masters in a past life and know all about Chinese Cabbage, amongst other things. So this morning when I went to inspect my farm, this is what I saw:
Yep, they were enjoying breakfast on the Chinese Cabbage.

As I insinuated above, our vegetable patch is not merely visited by my two dogs. Not by a long shot. There is currently a nightly marauder which is decimating my dinner while I'm sleeping. Somehow I feel the universe is not playing fair here, as I am totally unconscious at the time, possible busy visiting beings of another realm. At just that time, these little critters come and have their fill, only to disappear with the moon.

However, there is one animal that I find rather fascinating: yes, you guessed correctly, the snail or slug. It slithers hither and dither on a path of slime which it produces all by itself. Have you ever tried to walk on one foot on a pathway of slime, while producing slime as you go along? Not easy I tell you. It also has another nifty trick. While skulks around during the darker hours of the day, it has the ability to contract or retract itself into itself: when it feels threatened it just absorbs itself, and retracts into a smaller version of itself, and often into its little shell house. Furthermore, it has a major fear for a major element, sodium or salt to the housewife. Yes, when it touches salt it merely dissolves into a slimy heap, and its little soul departs this planet on a silvery streak to the centre of our galaxy.

Of course, the snail also represents a major archetypal behaviour pattern. For instance, there is the person in our consciousness who leaves a major line of slime as he/she goes along his/her way merrily. Along this way you will find small heaps of slime balls to further mark the way. As a sign of brutal bravado, and the devil may care, they will invade your vegetable patch, and make their statements in slime, after they have raided on of your vegetables they move on to the next own their own slime path.
But it is not all fun and games, however, as every now and then the snail meets another slime maker along its way, and what happens, they both retract, thinking that they are less visible. The only remedy is salt. Salts makes them both melt away into the ground, leaving a small slimy patch and a decimated vegetable garden.

Isn't it peculiar how, we have the concept of retractment in our modern world on planet earth. This essentially means that once you have said something, you can unsay it. No, I'm not talking about apologizing for something said in error on psychological weakness. I'm talking about making a statement of truth, and when under some kind of pressure or fearful prospect, you unsay it, so that the erstwhile truth no longer is a truth nor is it an untruth, but it merely exists in limbo. Like an electron which has lost its way in space, it has no atom to cling to.
With old Patrick, we have had a person who left a slime trail of statements and a totally destroyed cabbage patch. Yet, he soldiered on with a inexhaustible quantity of slime at his disposal. Yet, he never retracted himself by unsaying anything, but then he was the boss-snail in the slimunity. Others of his group, with the same slimy propensity, are not as courageous, and when touched by other slime-makers, they retract seemingly under the impression that their slimy trail will magically disappear. Wishful, I would say, but that is the nature of the animal.

Of course, there is only one remedy in the end: the salt treatment - imagine that.

Apologists and Cyberbullying

Let me first apologize for the error in the link to the Class action email address. It is fixed now, and when you click on it, your email program should automatically start.

Insurance
A few people have mentioned the supposed insurance that Edwafin used when they promoted their debenture products. If I'm not mistaken, Patrick had informed the investors at one of the meetings that the insurance had been cancelled or lapsed because of the bungling of a staff member. At the meeting that was held with investors in Bellville on 18 march 2009, Patrick responded as follows concerning the matter of insurance:
"At the time [2 years ago] the company did have an insurance policy, it was done by a company called Komash which underwrites debt insurance. Unfortunately one of our representatives misrepresented the policy and so Komash cancelled the policy and the insurance was taken away."
I find that a real neat and convenient method of bedoozling clients. Take out a policy, publish this fact in the brochures : "Hey your money is insured!". Someone bungles, policy falls away, but you don't tell your clients, you happily continue business as usual. Yep, I was caught out at that time as well.

Those of you who have been following my blog, may have come to know me as an easy going person, rather forgiving of the misdeeds of others, but someone who wants to have the answers to life's questions. As it is not my role in this universe to punish fellow souls, there is essentially little in life that i need to forgive. Things happen - sometimes not as pleasant, but very often very pleasant things happen, like when your wife smiles at you, or your pet dog demonstrates his fondness for you by licking your hand. Yet, life comprises the whole gamut of experiences, from the deeply sad to the exuberant fortunate moments, and every moment means that you have a consciousness life running through your awareness. One way of avoiding unpleasant experiences in life is to purely decide that you won't have it as part of your awareness anymore. But this only works when you have made the experience a total part of your reality, and understand why it happened. Having said those nice things about myself, I need to stress that since I am part of life, I need to know why things happen - good or bad, and that does not often imply direct answers such as we have wanted from Patrick all these months. No, answers also come in the form of manifestations, and manifestations are, what Jung called, archetypes. The are often in human form, but are also informational structures that are created by the human collective - signs from the universal collective, hints if you will.

I have spoken about this before, and am at risk of eliciting further rude remarks from those lacking a long noses - (the longer your nose, the further you can see - spiritually then). However, in view of some comments that were received on this blog I have a point to make. In the past we have spoken of social institutions such as those representing business (SAVCA, NCC etc), or the more public side of things such as FAIS, DTI etc. These have been mbued with certain functionalities as was decided collectively by the human intelligence. However, and this is important, their functions are also limited by the collective to give it a purposeful structure and to avoid them becoming overwhelming in society - political parties, politicians are prone to this unbounded growth with its accompanying powers.
When an incident occurs such as we are experiencing with Edwafin, we tend to rely on structures to act on our behalf and protect our interests. However, due to the constraints we have construed in the manifestation of these bodies, they can only act within limits. The
FSA, for example, could only suspend Edwabond's licence and will possibly retract it all together now. That's all. They could not intercede more drastically in matters to save our skins - they were limited by us, society as a collective soul. Others, such as SAVCA, and NCC, demonstrated that they were made even more impotent by us, and are essentially place-holders for a few souls that dwell with us on this planet. Granted they have their role to play as well - who else would we throw with rotten tomatos and smelly eggs.

As part of these social structures there is a spin-off. We have made the individual soul essentially impotent to think and act on his own behalf - we exclude ourselves from our collective. This has good and bad consequences. On the one hand it means that such bodies can act collectively, albeit in a limited way on behalf of the group. However, because of its imposed limitations, much falls through the crack, and the individual is unable to do anything about it, and is often not allowed to voice an opinion about it either.

Our case is an example, and at last I'm getting to the point - I think. One anonymous commented

In response to allegations of being "evil" and a "criminal" collectively, I feel that is being rather harsh and tantamount to cyber bullying.

In our country people are assumed innocent until proven guilty, let's be mature about this all and await the liquidators findings. Should there have been planned criminal activity, then it will be unearthed and those found guilty punished accordingly.
Now, I know where this person is coming from, and admire him for his convictions. But as you have seen above it set the mind working. First let's take care of the "cyber bullying" part. I agree that there is such a thing as bullying, inflicting pain on somebody (mentally or physically) to show that you are the stronger more dominant individual. What anonymous must realize is that the investors are merely reacting to those who have been doing the bullying during the last six months and in the process have lost a lot, some even everything. Since when is expressing your emotive feeling of revulsion not allowed, especially since it seems that other social structures are not at hand to correct the situation. The liquidators have their own function, to reduce what remains into cash. If they discover "legal" transgressions they may even possibly prosecute. But that is all besides the point, the fact is that a group of people fizzled money away that was entrusted to them, and I contend under false pretences.

The "collective" part, of course, this is a gross exageration, and if you read between the lines, you would know that our dismay is not directed at the telephone operator, or cleaners or basic administrative staff but it is directed at those that managed Edwafin - the managers, directors and similar bosses, yes collectively those. The question is why not? From your comment I deduce that you are an intelligent being. In the structures that we collectively conceive we allow for individuals to take certain responsibilities. They get paid accordingly, and are given a status, i.e. manager, director, CEO, etc. In return you are supposed to function at a certain level of intelligence and with professional prowess - as per societal rule. We even have devised a thing called an employment contract, in which one promises to use the brain in favour of the collective. Investors entrusted their money to these minds, only to discover that they were mindless. I must be honest, the representatives that sold us our debentures never told me that Edwafin Management was mindless, the contrary is true. They were a hip and progressive, profitable company. Do you mean to tell me that nobody noticed the water level rising - all those well paid minds?

With Edwafin, we now have the situation, where everybody has suddenly suffered a stroke, and not enough blood circulates to the brain. Therefore Mr Patrick Stapleton is the one at fault. Of course he is at fault, and he is the main guy, but not the only one -the recent court action was defended by 4 persons, not to speak about those who saw it coming. But those little beasties who postrated themselves before him, are/were part of his reality, and have cerebral prowers of their own. Of course, conveniently, like a father-figure a manager can now suddenly hide behind the figure of the boss, and do as he/she was told. Hilarious, and they got a paypacket and status to boot. Of course, there is that one thing in life called "taking responsibility for oneself", that is, thinking and wondering: "should I really participate in this? is this correct?". These are easy questions but oh so inconvenient when one is enjoying the happy life.I know of people who left the company when they discovered that unhappy things were being perpretrated, at great inconvenience to themselves. Please man, those in high places in any company are usually not chosen because they are blind, but because they can see clearly.

Your choice of the words "evil" and "criminal" was indeed a fun one, as I feel some evality in myself at times. Of course, there is a difference between being evil (ala the Devil/Satan and other similar human conjectures) and doing evil things. There is also a difference between being a criminal under the law and being a criminal in society without having been found guilty by the court (culprit, malefactor).

With your intellect you should realize that when people refer to the Edwafians as evil, they mean those people who did them wrong, took their money, lied to them, etc. and not to the conjectured reddish individual with two horns and a long tail. I mean really, that is taking it very litteral. The criminal thing is also interesting. O.J. Simpson did not murder his wife and friend, and therefore was not considered a criminal, but then he did murder his wife and friend and became a non-criminal murderer. Are you confused - don't worry me too. The point is that one can commit deeds in a reality which some of us collectively consider criminal, but are at the same time non-criminal because the judge didn't slam down his gavel and pronounced it so. Most of the investors consider the way in which we were reduced from their money "criminal", and as a group-decision that has validity. If, for some reason, such as poor investigation, possible clever manipulation of the facts by the defence, or even because correct procedures were indeed followed "according to the law", the gents and ladies get scott-free, it only means that the institution of the collectively created law, was limited by the impositions we have set ourselves (possibly for good reasons).
Yet, that does not make the loss of R200 million disappear in thin air, or the lies and deceipts that were told to suddenly become truths. No, it only shows that we, humans have the need for structures that work, at times, for us, and at other times, against us. Underlying to it all is the real identity of humanity that transcends those limiting structures our perceptions of what is real.

I think we essentially dealt with the "in our country we are assumed innocent until proven guilty". We have shown that one can be both guilty and not guilty at the same time. This is not such a paradox as it at first seems. One may be guilty of something on one level of awareness, while not guilty on another. Sometimes these awarenesses coincide in a single manifestation of people, and at other times they are with different groups of awareness. You may consider Patrick to be guiltless and blameless, and that is your prerogative. For me he and his mates are as guilty as hell. But, again that is not the point, as the iniquity has already been established, a fait acompli.

My question is why this took place at all, forget the money - that's all it is, forget Patrick, his wife, the Klynsmiths, Don and all those other participants - they have their own reality to contend with. What is this all telling me about my awareness and my life? The answer is pressumably complex, and parts are revealing themselves everyday, even through comments such as yours. Yet, the universe is endless in its creative potential, and new questions roll onto the horizon as we proceed forward. To find out, I shall persue until I have found the answer - or not.
